The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is again hosting its renowned National Student Surgical Skills Competition this autumn. The College, in collaboration with Medtronic, is giving aspiring surgeons in their final year of UK medical school an opportunity to learn and then demonstrate basic surgical skills in tests set against their peers from across the UK. The challenges will range from suturing and knot-tying to basic laparoscopic skills.
They are delighted to invite final year medical students from Bristol Medical School to registrar their place in the competition. The Bristol heat will be held on Wednesday 16th November between 6 – 8:30pm at Orangery Goldney Hall, Lower Clifton Hill, Clifton, Bristol BS8 1BH. Please follow this link website for more information.
There is no charge to attend and attendees will be provided with a certificate of attendance for their portfolio.
The winner from Bristol wins a travel and accommodation package to Edinburgh to stay at the College’s Ten Hill Place Hotel and to participate and represent Bristol Medical School in the Grand Final of the competition on 18 February 2017.
