Bristol medic published in the BMJ

Philippa Walker-Smith, a year 4 student, was doing her dermatology in the BRI when she came across an unusual inflammatory lesion on a young man’s cheek. It turned out to be due to a relatively new organism, Arthroderma benhamiae, which was isolated after culture. Well done to her for spotting this and for getting it published in the BMJ last Saturday (http://www.bmj.com/content/357/bmj.j2007.long ).
